Lonnie Been running xfce for a couple of weeks now, kde2 what is that M$ stuff . Tjhere is one thing I would like in xfce and that is the panel would hide till you needed it. May wait a while on x 4.2 then not a whole lot of upgrading really on the beta box except the kernel. cheers Rick

and everything works ok. I think I have a run level 5 startxfce instead of startkde. Where would I make that change. I know it would be in the /etc dir. I have put the xinitrc & xfce3rc in /X11/xinit & rebooted, still kde is brought back up. I did move the kde stuff to a tmp dir. cheers
