that reminds me of a story my Apple trainer told me yesterday. The geks were working on someone'sM computer, and the mouse wasn't available. So one of them was going to go get a usb mouse. MY trainer, who got certified in VOiceover was able to accomplish the task using VO keyboard commands.

Actually there is yet another way to get to the dock which is much simpler. It's an OS shortcut and is control-F3 -And, as I try it here, the shortcut you mention doesn't seem to work. So the only one I know of for the system (not for VO) is control-F3 Additionally, to get to the menu bar

Well, actually, there are a huge array of mac operating system keys that have been replaced by voiceover keys, or at least supplanted. Most of these don't require the control key, so you are not limitted to the left hand. I quite honestly wish voiceover would drop a lot of it's baggage and tea
