My guess is that while MDs and CDs don't "transmit" any signal, they probably do output a lot of RF interference. I can't work out at which stage this occurs though. The major problem comes from any oscillator that has harmonics in the frequency ranges that are used by the plane's control

It sounds like the battery was too low to update the TOC (table of contents) WHen it started to write it, it just erased it and ran out of power. There are ways to recover the disc, if you haven't written to it, you can clone another TOC and get most of it back. Markus Ulrich wrote: Hello
