Damn, I'm sorry! I misread your mail. My eyes were reading it,
but my mind were thinking on the discussion on doing so on a portable.
I also have post some mails

Hi,
there are many misunderstandings about the End Search feature, and it seems
to me that many of the guys on this list is against it, but I've found it
very useful. But, I must admit, it depends for what you are using for your

Sorry I didn't knew about the cloning thing...

I got an e-mail update from Crutchfield the other day and it talks about a

1) I don't know of any device that can 'see how a chip worked'.
There are devices that allow you to reverse-engineer a chip through
physical means. You can literally shave off one thin layer at a time,
and use a high power microscope, and then apply image-analysis algorithms
to build masks
Hi Folks...

I want to know how much do you want to pay for each mini disc...

I do not understand the end search on Sony's or this following statement: End
Search Sony recorders do not automatically record new audio segments at the
logical end of the medium. To ensure a recording is placed at the end, the
END SEARCH button must be pressed before beginning a recording.
I am happily using a Delta DIO 2496 card on my Mac G3. It provides optical
and coaxial I/O. Aside from quirky software (not unreliable, just quirky) it
works just fine.

Hello,
Could someone please help me out? I made a recording of a concert tonight, but when I

Hi,
Just a quick line to let you know that we have large stocks of genuine
replacement batteries, battery holders, power supplies, remote control units,
optical cables, carrying bags etc. for Sony MZ-R30/35/37, Sharp MDMT16/20E
and Denon DMP-R70 MD Recorders.
These are all genuine items as
1) I don't know of any device that can 'see how a chip worked'.
2) You're probabably confusing ROM/RAMs with CPUs and DSPs..
To be honest, I have no way in hell of knowing WHAT was done. This is
what my friend told me, which is total BS, but, I did view some of the
prototype stuff
Everything you say 'end search' is good for is achieved automatically with
all other portables and even with Sony home decks...
End search has no useful function and can be a dangerous feature if you
forget to use it...

Basically, if you record on a portable and don't get in the habit of
pressing END SEARCH before you record, anything you had recorded on it
previously, is toast. On a blank disc, it doesn't matter, but it does
the minute you record the first track. So, be sure to press END SEARCH.

I think that is incorrect. The data has been written to the disc every
40 seconds during the recording phase. Since the data has been written
to the disc and it should be recoverable if you haven't over written it
by recording more on the disc. What you need to do is clone the TOC

I'm glad the MD - USB thread has proven to be a lively topic of
discussion! You'll get no argument from me that USB is not technically the
"best" interface. However, it might turn out to be the very popular for
these reasons:
1) USB is available on the motherboard of almost every new computer
