work on a car and do anything from an engine swap to suspension rebuild.
I do not recommend getting the cheapest version of anything there,

I've been very pleased with the 3/4" drive set I bought
a few years ago. The sockets ring like actual tool steel.
It's done everything I've wanted it to do, and the sockets
also make nice seal and bearing drivers, and circle templates.

The star base is held in by a spring in the base. You compress the two sides
& turn the spring until it's retained by the holder then lift out the base.
Install the replacement by dropping the star in place & rotating the soring

The brake problem is not a problem at all. We've all been spoiled by modern
car disk brakes that "stop on a dime". Use the same braking system in a land
yaught and you'll lock up the front tires.

If there had been a frontal shunt and the engine lurched rearwards,

Might be fun but there is a fundamental difference between shooting someone
in self defense and taking the law in your own hands, at least there is a
difference in most States other than IL & NY.
