I find that a magnet from an old hard drive works very nicely to hold bots
in place while putting the bracket, etc. on it from below.
The magnet does need to come from an old hard drive, not a newer one - they
are too small/weak.

I ended up getting the bolt started. I was finally able to get into a position
to where I could see it better, carefully got the bracket on and pulled down on
it enough to put enough pressure on the bolt so it would not push back in while

So after working on the cruise amp I had it just tucked up under the dash out

My uncle was a supervisor at a shoe factory ages ago and when it closed
down he got one of their big industrial machines they used to sew

Did the front brakes on the E320 yesterday. A little more involved than the
older brake type as the whole caliper and caliper bracket have to come off to
remove the rotor, but not difficult.
The brakes had a little pulse in them that you could feel when you were close

The older Singers are great machines. A little harder to keep in proper
adjustment than one of the inexpensive Japanese machines (non-adjustable!) but
real workhorses.
Keep the hook adjustment correct and replace the belt when it slips and it will
run forever, unlike the modern electronic ones

You just need to load it. This is another place where a big battery bank is
useful, run all night on batteries, queue up your high load jobs during the day
when you run the generator. You wouldn't be as upset about 3gal/hr if you were
getting that level of work out of it. So run the washer/dryer
