Apparently it stopped firing on all 5 at 277k. When opened to investigate,
the connecting rod was 3/16 short, so I'm guessing it had a head gasket

is a lot of square inches and the stiffness increases with the cube of the

Small dent over rear wheel, suspension arms replaced. 140k miles. Extremely
clean, black over gray mbtex. Drives great, except it was stuck in 1st

Hopefully this is one step further toward everyone on this list running a
dash cam. Think I'll be ordering a few today.

Anything Trident will be excellent stuff. Various diameters and

Don't mess with straight o2 around open flame. Oil burns just fine with a
bunch of air blowing on it. The soot in the intake is soaked in oil from
the egr.

Yes I get the impression we are headed toward radically different cars.
Teslas put as much carbon into the atmosphere as any other high economy
car. The only way to reduce that is to lower the weight of the vehicle, or

We have a 2014 touareg. Wish they would just pay the feds and leave me out
of it. So far no action on the 3l motors anyway.
My german mechanic says german papers are reporting that all of the diesel
cars in Europe fail testing when tested in real world driving.
Parents bought a 126 from a dentist's widow with 17k on the clock. I never
drove anything any nicer, really. So eventually I bought the 123 wagon for
sailing, and haven't found a compelling reason to retire it in the
subsequent 15 years. Plenty of other cars have come and gone.
Not child safe though fyi
