Hi,
I've had some experience with posters left on boards inside os sized bags.
The Cinema Shop in SF used to have stacks of them lined up against their walls,
so many that you couldn't reach the back ones when standing at the front of a
stack. I assume that those posters had been in the bags since
Well, being a total videogame and film geek, I've seen and played 'em
all. My film degree afforded me even more opportunities to see
films not often screened, like Brakhage's Autopsy. Intense and
disturbing films, like Passolini's Salo. I snuck into The
Terminator when I was 15, and even then I

Erik,
You're quite right about the state of the world, which is why I feel
strongly about the dangers of continuing to expose impressionable young
people(all around the world) to all of this realistic ultra-violence,
torture and psycho-sadism in film and television (cable). We are what we

Dear Dr. V, JR and MOPO,
Hi from Joe Bonelli.
My comments (agreeing with a person I highly respect, Dr. V) were made not from
seeing the film but from being sickened by the trailer which was nauseating
enough. You couldn't pay me to sit through the film.
I've never been a snob about anything

Hi JR! You are right! Do not give one cent to see such trash. Its free on the news. The only reason I went was to accommodate my daughter, I never should have brought her to see Halloween when she was a teen. Now she's a full fledged splatter fanatic. My own fault fori that. You would never know

There is only one sin in cinema and that is to be BORING.
Yet we cannot expect everyone to be equally charmed by all films.

Phil, that scene from Torn Curtain still gets to me!
I thought it was one of the most disturbing scenes
ever and also the one where Akim Tamiroff is offed by
Orson Wells in Touch of Evil.
When you see movies where the victim is fighting for
their life, it's harrowing. Wolf Creek gets off on
it.
I haven't watched HOSTEL. I saw WOLF CREEK and it was
enough. There is a certain artistry to scaring people
and I thought HIGH TENSION had those elements and was
gory as hell. Okay the script wasn't the best but
neither were the others. The music, sound design, and
camera work were exceptional.
Well, it has to be noted (again) that FRANKENSTEIN, DRACULA, FREAKS, THE
MUMMY, ISLAND OF LOST SOULS, THE BLACK CAT, THE RAVEN and about a dozen
others in the 30s were then considered "extreme horror" with many states
attempting to cut and ban them (and we are talking the USA) with many
succeeding
