Did you try doing a find for the lib? Perhaps it needs to be in the ld.conf or
ldlibpath?

A million rows is not a lot for mysql.
The pro of doing it in one table is that the coding is much easier.
Reporting is much easier.
The pro of doing it as individual databases would be easier locking,
quicker responses on
queries (not so much), and the ability to secure it much more (dynamica
with (with LVM)
Back to the point, the 1gig limit stated in the initial email can be
overcome. Things you have to keep in mind
are which OS to choose, which architecture, and the underlying filesystem.
