Doesn't ld.so.conf (and LD_LIBRARY_PATH) only apply to loading at run-time? I think you need to supply the correct -L and -l options to gcc to get it to link correctly at compile/link time. I may be wrong. I'm using xvmc and unichrome on my M10k, and boy does it do a good job! Andrew
