I've been using ATrpms' lirc RPMs for my Myth box, but I'd like to get an
'Igor' USB IR receiver; ATrpms don't include this kernel module so I want to
prove I can do it myself before going ahead.
I'm prototyping the process on my desktop FC4 box before interfereing with
my FC3 Myth box,

LVM group (which I assume means I am not "striping" I increased the
size of my drive at the cost of now giving 2 harddrives a chance to
fail instead of one. (shooot especially considering my luck with
hard drives.)

was pci based. But, for $18.00 more the had a fx 5200 agp with 256 meg
of ram with TV and DVI out.
Will this work as good/easy as the 4000 card? I haven't opened the box

puny 30G partition and... a week later it konked out. I lost it all...

I think my confusion comes from having previous experience
with the pvr 350. With the pvr 350, the encoder encoded the
analog video to an mpeg2 file and the mpeg decoder
