1. on booting my comp shows this status Bringing up interface
loopback eth0 FAILED. But the rest are OK. What does it mean?
and how to fix it?

using the Thac packages. Since then, I have not seen anything about it.
Have the problems been sorted, and can we now upgrade KDE?

I am running the 10.2b1 and after rebooting I have no sound, although sound
was working fine on the first boot up. I don't see any /dev/dsp for some
reason. How do I recreate that file, or what do I need to do to get sound

At the lilo boot screen, press the Escape or Esc key. It

Then ls'd the root directory and rm'd loads of files.
Thankfully it worked after I had rm'd about 30 files!
