Hi all,
I have my MDK 9.1 box connected to our Windows network here at work using
Samba. From a windows box I can see my linux box on the network.
Using Samba alone should I be able to browse the windows network? Currently
I dont seem to be able to.
If yes can I log onto the Windows network

Is it necessary for me to mount everything I wish to be able to see?
I'd like to be able to browse the entire Windows network that my MDK 9.1 box
is attached to.
How can I do that?
Surely not by mounting every resource.

Hi all,
I'm using MDK 9.1. Love it.
Is there any way to have a network activity indicator in the task bar at the
bottom, similar to to the two network computers that turn on/off when
there is network traffic on a Windoz box?
That is one small feature about Windoz that I liked.

Hi all,
I was foolishly snooting around my MD8.1 system, which was working fine,

It stops with a message at the splash screen.
The application The KDE Splash Screen (ksplash) crashed and caused
the signal 11 (SIGSEGV).

I've an MD8.1 box. All works well.
I type in startx to bring up KDE. I am getting a flashing kroot error

Hi all,
I've just installed MD 8.1.
My system starts up in GNOME. I pressed CTRLALTF1 and it took
me to a command prompt out of GNOME. This is OK and expected but..
How do I get back to GNOME from there?
How is this different then simply clicking the Open Terminal icon in
GNOME?
Thanks to Michael for pointing those out. The Airlines link is great!
