believe starts with mounting the floppy which of course is already
done, so it errors unless I umount the floppy first. The supermount
concept, to me, just doesn't make sense. I have no control over the
floppy.

, they will not even support Kppp, but
do support Wvdial. What I do remember, is that it was very easy to
use, and sets up your modem for you. There is even a GUI interface for
it, but works well in terminal. I used it in KDE.

you are immediately allowed access to the graphical File Manager as
ROOT.
It took awhile for me to spot it too, but if you hit the K buttom /
Applications / File Tools - you will see it at the top .

I install with "High" security I cannot, by default, login
via ftp or telnet, even from the local machine, and I cannot restart (via
ctrl-alt-del) without being logged in first, however I can do both if I
install with "Medium" security.

I run Linux Mandrake 6.0 as a home LAN Proxy server (Home Network). Now when I
issue the shutdown command it dose fine till it gets to where it umnounts the file
systems. Why is this and how can I stop it.

Thanks, but I got it fixed. I found out that smp is for multiple processor
motherboards.
Well I don't have one.
