What are their FBS speeds, respectively? If your Athlon had a 100MHz
FBS and the Celeron has a 400MHz FBS, I'd go for the celeron hands down.

sound cards. I'm not sure it's
still included in Mandrake, but you can find an RPM out there for it
with google.

is. So a link
to a file named AbCdEfG.HTM that worked under Windows may not work on
Linux if you don't get your uppercase/lowercase right.
That's kindof a no duh thing, but it gave me greif when moving stuff

, but if
you're running Linux on PPC it's often a better alternative to run
Mac-on-Linux so you can run your Mac OS apps natively and Linux apps
natively without needing a reboot.

If you think of MS-DOS as mono, and Windows
. Better yet, Pingus
(Lemmings), OpenOffice (Works), and Netatalk (LocalTalk) instead :-).

If you think of MS-DOS as mono, and Windows as stereo, then Linux is Dolby
Pro-Logic Surround Sound with Bass Boost and all the music
because I told them 'bout it.

. Not to say they don't exist
(Spyware/Addware is even less of a worry, as almost all OSS is devoid of
it). Your greatest worry is recieving a virus for Windows that you
accidentally forward on to Windows-users in emails.

If you think of MS-DOS as mono
, therefore, would give
apps direct access to the graphics system, which is needed if something
goes wrong with the frame-buffer method. Personally, I delete
everything but the 'Linux' entry to clean things up and hope for the
best ;-).
