Actually, unless you are stuck with Novell for some specific requirement,
get rid of it and switch to Linux-Mandrake 7.2. Use the normal version, and
install for a server. Or download Mandrake 7.2 Corp Server. It even has a
neat setup wizard that will take care of may of your basic requirments.

The tutorial is very good and is not based on whether the cdwriter was in
place during install or installed later. Did harddrake detect it? if so then
check the tutorial and make the entries as root that the tutorial calls for.
