Not to mention the hurricane that delayed 1.4 as well. There was no
definitive release date implied in his posts. Anyways... Kevin, I
just wanted to let you know how great MoneyWell is and how
appreciative I am that you still manage to provide quick and
informative posts here in the user group.

I'm not big AppleScript guy, so my script is actually written in Perl

Assuming you have sqlite installed and some DB knowledge, it's fairly
straightforward to determine the balance of each bucket and extract
that into a more portable format.

The iPhone version will be out soon enough
MoneyWell 3 or 6 months ago worked well, why the focus fell on

Kevin to spend less time answering posts and focus on a portable
application. The growth is in the ability to record your purchases at

I like the ability of Cha-Ching to detect your location, and
automatically start the transaction for that location. Great time
saver. Hopefully Moneywell Mobile will incorporate that feature. Until
Moneywell Mobile, I'll be a happy Cha-Ching customer.

The 1.5 release is actually designed to support the iPhone version.
They will appear around the same time.
There is a bucket balance report planned

I agree with Kevin that releasing a simple iPhone app that only had
bucket balances would be disappointing for many users (although less
so if it were free).

I would agree with Lance that there are a very limited number of
features in an iPhone app that would provide 80% of the benefit to
MoneyWell users. I'm one of those people using Notes to keep the
amounts in my Bucket List (hahaha) with me, and it's painful, but
necessary. Besides this synced list
The iPhone/iPod app sounds great and I can't wait to try it out, but
honestly something as simple as a way to easily export your list of
buckets and their current balances and then get this onto your iPhone/
iPod Touch would probably be sufficient to hold most of us over.
