Got a dual horn setup from Hella. The relay instruction say Term 30 to Pos Battery; existing 12v horn positive to Term 86. Term 87 goes out to the Horn Positive and Term 85 to ground. I want to just take a lead off my new fuse box and go to Term 30 with a jumper to Term 86. I mocked it up o

My 1940 half ton had only 1 fuse in it. I have decided to add a nice small 8 circuit fuse block to it. My plan was to use a relay to switch power on and off to the fuse block. The relay will be controlled by the ignition switch. The only 6 volt relay that I have is from an old positive ground Ford.

I don't see why a headlight relay can't be used for a fuse block feed relay. It is certainly continuous duty rated, I just did a google search on 6 volt headlight relay, and on 6 volt headlight relay sale and got many hits. Tom Ole Chevy and GMC trucks rule!

When you run current through a coil of wire it becomes a magnet (electro-magnet) and attracts any thing magnetic. It doesn't care about polarity or anything. Don't know how long the relay will last if on all the time, I ran my fuse block to the acc terminal on the switch even tho it didn't h
