I must say that VMware until version 6.0.2 does not support openSUSE
10.3 as host or guest. So to get it working, you will have to upgrade
to VMware 6.0.1 at least. It must be understood however that even the
version 6.0.2 and 6.0.1 have
only the EXPERIMENTAL support for openSUSE 10.3
I too had the same issue on openSUSE 10.2 and SLED. I too was unabloe
to sole the problem. I think that we do need an UPDATE or a PATCH for
that thing.

I though I would ask here before I submit a bug report. Why after a log in
that my desktop starts in KDE and maybe an hour later, gnome is switched in
without my consect.
