Dear all
Is that possible to install pin by default?
So we can create the next great thing call pin-install ... meaning base
on the pin info after locating the package which is missing and trigger
the install ?
Thanks

When trying to scan with Kooka (as of the current beta version), the program
complains that there is allegedly no Sane present. Wrong!
Trying to remove and re-add the scanner with Yast2, I get the following error

As a KDE user I have now once more trashed zmd and rug and want to use
opensuse-updater and libzypp direct. Version of opensuse-updater is 3.16,
libzypp and zypper are installed.

Just my 2 cents. I, for whatever it's worth, would welcome the implemantation

I guess my install is factory since factory exists ;). Should do a new

I know it's a bit OT, but as a factory user I'm kind of wondering which
packages to use for optimal multimedia experience on OpenSUSE factory. And
yes, I'm within the legal boundaries of the country where I live ;).
I'd rather use only the factory packages, as all the "usual suspects" (Guru,

Well, download.suse.org should give me the best mirror. I can see and download
the new packages there when using a browser, but not with smart. But ye
Once again I have to revive this thread :(
Today it seems that the beta has reached the servers (or is reaching), so I
might be quite current (I had to download the files by hand, however,
as "smart" does not yet recognize the new versions).
Adding SUSE Factory fails with an error:

I guess you're guess is unfortunately not accurate here :( . The TmpFiles
count is a multitude of the humble 894 ;).
"ls TmpFile.A*" alone gives me 1288 hits at the moment. And I can do that for
TmpFileA*-Z*, a*-z*, 0*-9*, and so on

The ncurses interface is crashing at this point, too.

OK, thanks for the quick feedback.
However, I'm not quite sure if a new libzypp will solve the issue, as - as I
understand it - Yast uses the very same out
I've almost given up hope on getting smart's GUI running for a period of
longer than a few days. Usually it works a few days if following the factory
builds, and then is broken again.
Sometimes you have to delete stuff in /var/lib/smart, but this time even this
doesn't help. For two weeks now

After the 10.1 package management disaster I quickly switched to smart. But as
I'm now sick of all the other (quite ridiculous and seemingly never fixed)
problems with smart (German 'umlauts' crash the program, the python gui is
dysfunctional most of the time and so on), I yesterday wanted to gi

Simply throwing out PolicyKit.rpm and reverting hal.rpm to the Version as
shipped with 10.1 solves the problem.

I follow closely the factory distribution, but for some days now I have
problems seemingly connected with the dbus-system. Especially it is no longer
possible to mount removable media (apart from the old-fashiond "mount"
command as root user ;).
