Incidentally, I think this is known here already, but I checked with Pentax and the MZ-S frame overlapping thing is not a problem. It's a minor firmware glitch. They discovered it early, and they know how many cameras sneaked in to the U.S. before the fix was applied and it's a small number.

The Tamron got excellent results in it's Pop Photo tests, the Pentax 24-90 is so new all we have to go on yet are list member results. Personally, I won't not bother any test result from Pop. Photo. The SP35-105/2.8 got favourable comments too but turned out it was the worst lens I have owned.
