I've tried to find one of these but they seem to be somewhat rare, at
least when compared with the 2.8 versions. The folklore is that all of
the 28 2.8's are mediocre at best. Is that a shared opinion?

For me, it was a Contax IIIa. No marks at all and beautiful.
I was dirt poor, and finally pawned it to buy some food or some other
necessity, planning to retrieve it soon.

The Fujitsu DynaMo 640 Photo kan trasfer 12 Mb/sec.
Unloading a 512 Mb card should then take less than 1 minute (43 secs).
If you are using two RAM cards you can easily empty one onto the MO-disc
while shooting photograps on the other.

Yes, what is it about the SF1n/SFXn? It seems so clunky and
first-generation autofocus, and yet it seems wonderfully capable. The
autofocus actually works very well in most situations, and even
without the autofocus turned on, it seems like a _really_ capable
Super Program + grip/winder,
Sp1000 I later replaced it with a SPF. The same only better.
