Well if by releasing the camera in those markets they can better their
image, perhaps it will pave the way for future products. Sure it's not set
in stone, but these days things aren't as clear cut as they used to be.
Sometimes you have to take a risk, maybe this is a good risk to take.

stated earlier, there are still a variety of world markets where film is
dominant. So it still might be in Pentax's interest to do everything they
can to gain a foothold in those markets by releasing a high-end SLR.

Much of the Digital cameras are built as outsourced modules then simply
plugged together. Think about watch repair, which
requires more labor repairing a mechanical watch, or a

While not really planning to, I wandered into the Photo and Imaging Expo

As Eleanor suggested, the Optio 33 LF does indeed have a flip out LCD.
It's slightly smaller than the G2, and weighs less, but it's nearly 1MP
down. Does anyone have an Optio 33LF and would like to share their
opinions if this camera?

I've been looking at Thumbs Plus recently. It will do what they claim
you can view thumbnails of your.PEF
