gotten results with the manufacturers' scanning software that could
even approach what Vuescan could get out of a scanner.

I used Vuescan with the Dimage Scan Dual II with much improved results.
Since having the Scan Dual IV, I haven't purchased the newer version of
Vuescan... I haven't felt the need to improve upon the Minolta software out
of the box. But you never know...

This is a departure for what you have shown in the past. What I like
is the refreshing, vibrant attitude shown. The type of lighting works
quite well along with the pose. She really looks happy.

Depending upon when you bought Vuescan, and, after some point, which
version you bought, upgrades are free. I paid for Vuescan in 2000 and
have upgraded regularly. You should see whether your version supports
free upgrades and get the latest.

Oops -- after replying that I couldn't be more specific than somewhere
between Lost Maples and Bandera I found that I *could* narrow it down
more! It's somewhere between Vanderpool and Medina.

Scan Dual II and Epson 2450. I always drive the Minolta with Vuescan
- the Epson varies - Vuescan for negatives/slides and the Epson
software for prints.
