IMO forget the square as well for two reasons:
1/ using a square ensor with the same horizontal size of the current
APS-c sensor would mean some parts of the square sensor would be out
of the current theoretical image circle.
2/ Why would Pentax offer a battery grip with the K-7 if the sensor is

I grew up with a Rolleiflex TLR. I love square photos, although for
practical reasons most of my photos are rectangular. 2:3 format always

1. No need to rotate camera for portrait orientation if using a cropped
