I held my K20D and K-x side by side at 1/125 sec and fired both a whole bunch of times. The K-x has a higher sound, but the sound seemed about the same decibel level. Certainly not a marked difference between them. Because the FPS is faster on the K-x, it is noticeable that it finishes quicker
