I think that some fine tuning of the firmware n the *ist D will take care of the minor discrepancies between it and the Canon D10. I do like the ability to use the larger Adobe RGBcolor space in the *ist D. I own a Canon D30, D60, and a Powershhot G5 in addition to my *ist D. I'm pretty happy
