I'm going to be flip here, If I wanted my camera to think for me I'd get
a Sony.
That's not to say that Pentax auto focus is not among the least
sophisticated, of all the manufactures, but, really part of the joy of
photography is learning your equipment and subject to the point that you
get
I have owned Pentax DSLRs since 2008 (K200D) and I know that many here have
been invested in digital Pentax even longer. The main appeal to me, at the
time, was:
* Extensive Weather/Dust Sealing
* Used standard AA rechargeable batteries
* Pentax did not change the flange to focal plane distance or

buying position. My next will probably be a K-1 iii.

Isn’t that pretty much the big feature of it? They put all that time, money
and effort into a big bright new viewfinder, which is why it doesn’t have room

You should also note your aperture when you get that center blue spot. You
may find it is not there at other apertures. The problem is usually a FLAT
rear lens element (as seen from the sensor side). Using a lens with a
non-flat rear element should not exhibit the problem.

I think that blue dot is the reflection of light off the sensor being
reflected back by the rear element of the lens. I don't think any light
placement can eliminate it. The sensor surface is a lot shinier than
film is. Some great lenses cannot be used because of it.

though, if I were shooting film professionally, particularly landscape
or studio, I'd use my DSLR in much the way that people used to use
Polaroids to make sure everything was right before taking shots where I
wouldn't know if it was right for hours or days.

view camera with Polaroid back. After he extracted the negative he put
