Good score. I have had vuescan for a number of years and finally up
graded last year it does a good job on my Epson 2450. The original
Epson software was nice but over the years t it stopped working i
suspect due to my OS upgrades but for what i sscan now Vuescan works

controls are crude and not proportional, so the result of small tweaks is hard
to predict. Previews are inaccurate as well, at least in my experience. I

Been using Vuescan to drive every scanner I've owned since 2000. I
don't use anything else.
For the HP S20 in particular it was a big improvement over the [EMAIL
PROTECTED]
software HP produced ... including the 'none' for Mac OS.

Same here, I've been using Vuescan since 2000 on a number of scanners
for hundreds of films. Great results. Initially a
LOL.
I bought into Vuescan and Vueprint a number of years back.
I used Vueprint as my slide show when i was still carting computers to shows.
Vuescan worked well with my Epson 2450. I could work with it much
easier than Silver what ever it was.:-)

I suspect something else could be the problem. When I first got
the Scan Dual II, I ran the MInolta software. I wasn't satisfied
with it, it both tended to crash frequently and my scans weren't
particularly sharp. That's what motivated me to try Vuescan ...

know how to compensate for what sounds like a defect in your
scanner
