It is, however I think Last.fm is better, the charts can be especially
interesting and it's also been pretty good at suggesting artists to try
based on my listening habits.

The PlayLog plugin is also a great way to keep track of everything you
play.
Just got a starter set of Philips Hue bulbs, and I'm wondering if anyone
is giving thought to writing a plugin to make them work with
squeezebox/lms. There's various android and ipod apps available (Philips
own app, Ambify for light/music sync, probably more), as well as
homebrewed windows clients

I didn't think of that. Great idea!!
LastFM has a playlist creator and export feature so you can select
tracks from the log, save them

Were you able to browse them through the "playlists" menu after editing
and saving them?
That would mean the actual files got changed and in this case this would
really surprise me.
If not, then your server probably doesn't have write permission on your
playlists folder.

It looks like Sony as a matter of policy have ensured that their PCs do
not have the "Stereo Mix" capability. The initial workaround I suggest
is to try the last post
As of today, a new version is available for download.
Basically it's just bug fixes, but the crashes and album art not showing
should now be solved.
Will start working on a functionality update soon which will change the
UI a bit on terms of syncing/switching players so that it should be
easier to

Yes, I checked "show disabled devices."
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium on a Sony Vaio VPCEB25FX laptop.

Would I be able to manually edit a recipe so it returned a greater
number of tracks and use this? (I haven't looked at the Echonest API in
detail to see what is possible...)
As explained by Roland0 you can't have more than five new tracks at once.
But there's an undocumented preference you cou

Hi Pippin,
I made a load of changes to my playlists through iPeng HD, deleting &
adding tracks, deleting old playlists and adding new ones, saved each
one, checked them all and could see that my editing was all correct, did
a rescan of playlists but my playlist folder in my music folder where my

Well, that's the plan: if your file is corrupted, then you'll have to

I use Triodes plugin for Spotify, but when i play my favourite playlists
(created on spotify) it won't play the songs at random, even if it is
selected on the squeezebox settings. What am i doing wrong?

Good point - it's described in the first post of this thread, but I
forgot to copy this info to the home page. Fixed now

No, the API is limited to fetching a maximum of 5 tracks for dynamic
playlists (100 for static ones, but these are

I don't know where your cache folder is located, but none of your file
systems seems to be really full. Therefore I would assume that your db
file is corrupted. You best remove library.db,
