I am interested in the concept of this plug-in in the post Squeezebox
era and commend your plug-in for providing this functionality.
Here are my observations:

I had to remove pulseaudio and install gnome-alsamixer and the command:
-o hw:CARD=Intel,DEV=0
now works (It may work now without any command but I haven't tried

My Local Player Plug-in performs flawlessly, but the process for
starting it seems in-elegant.
Despite having the "Start Player with server" button ticked in the setup
it reports "Not Running"
The process to start it is to uncheck the "Start player with server"
button and press the "appl
Looks good on Radio 1 but has "No Title" showing next to icon on RHS of
server web page.
On Radio 4 I am now getting file type PNG and no now playing indicator
for station.
Hope BBC sort this out soon and thanks as ever for all the work you put
into my favourite squeezebox plug-in.

It's for the live AAC streams (first choice - presume not flash) on SB3
classics.
Also the same in the web interface - shows bit rate on RHS pane but not
on LHS pane (when BBC item is clicked on RHS).
Still working fine though.

On my SB3's BBC iPlayer disappeared from the Internet Radio Menu when
upgrading to 7.6
Not a big problem - just had to put it back as a separate entity into
each of the SB3's menus.
Any ideas why it didn't persist?

what I had in mind was, say I was in My Music/Artist/Ella Fitzgerald on
my SB3's and another menu item was available alongside Songs/Albums etc
that said something like "On Spotify".
Hope that makes it clearer

Don't know if this has been suggested before or if it works better on
Windows where all local music can be imported into the client.
As all but ten tracks of my music are in aac or flac it would be a
great help in searching for my artists on Spotify.

That fixed it.
Looks great for radio.
Will see how I get on with this setting when listening to music.
Might be an idea to think about over-riding display settings if
possible as the user can have this set in many different ways.

I'm listening to Radio 5 Live now (Danny Baker). - Not my usual
listening.
It's exhibiting occasional bursts of bubbling noise and it's also doing
it simultaneously on my PC.

The Ubuntu dictionary recognizes them as I have spelled

I've upgraded, (from beta 3 I think) anything to look out for?
Continues to work fine for me on 7.3.3 and Ubuntu 9.04 - still haven't
had a single instance of failure to connect first time.

Might be worth adding a caveat for the general release that streams
cannot be saved to Favorites (in Now Playing or on the Server UI) just
to avoid unnecessary failure reports.

that blocks the suspend action and whether the script can be stopped on
suspend and restarted on resume.

At present there is no auto-update, the information is compiled each
time the menu item is called. I have no problems with anyone picking
this up and developing a more general plugin and I haven't tried
epoch's solution yet.
