Thank you Clark for your response. I decided to clean up the 5300 and reinstall 8.6 Re-followed Asante's caveats and recommendations regarding the very problem Clark mentioned. They list several extensions that are incompatible. Voila. Everything works good now. Now, I'm off to my 3400 to work
