weight weenies are not often found on any leather saddle. The Ti models offer a jewelry cachet to a device that really is just designed to hold your bottom while you pedal. It's less elegant to think of it that way though :) I concur with Joel's observations.

The stock Hillborne seatpost is not a Nitto. But a copy of one. Besides Jim's good suggestions, will add you might want to take a piece of medium grit sandpaper and slightly roughen up the parts of the post where the lower clamp and post itself meet. At the worst, your local bike shop would have

Try turning the toothed piece 180 degrees. Looking at mine the arc in the little toothed piece is not even. One side is thinner than the other. This might work on the forward curve of the seatpost. If that still doesn't work, will second Jim Thill's suggestion. Kalloy post. Have one on Atlant
