Coconut oil is magical stuff, taken internally via cooking oil, or just eating plain, or with other food/drink as Bill points out. Externally it's used for everything from anti-viral applications, to lotion, to lube. There are 2 types you can get at the grocery store (that I know about, anyway)

The reason for a minimum insertion line is to prevent the wedge part of the stem breaking off the top of the fork where it is threaded. So, the minimum insertion line is guessing at how far down a fork is threaded. Ideally, I'd recommend sinking the stem so that the very top edge of the wedge

Kind of depends on the stem. Pivo stems on old French bicycles need to be way down, lower than the avoiding the fork threads method would indicate because the stems are weak. Some old French stems are display only at this point. The avoiding the fork threads is an absolute minimum, but older an
