If I remember correctly, all I had to do to a working cups installation
was to add a link:
ln -s /usr/bin/smbspool /usr/lib/cups/backend/smb
restart the cups daemon,
and specify the smb path to the windows printer
( smb://windowsBox/printerName ) in the cups add printer interface.

Any bet your default gateway isn't getting set. Show us 'route -n'.

In the smb.conf file if you set the password server
to the NT domain server name it should authenticate from there.
I set this up once when I was a techie for a
construction company in PA.
Also if NT is the PDC then you want to make sure

I changed the authentication in IIS (Console Manager) and this did the
trick. I can now get out to the Internet from my RH7.2.

You can find the freeglut source in freeglut.sourceforge.net. If someone can
do it can the instructions be provided. The defualt instructions in freeglut
don't work in RH8.

it was a dns issue, my reverse dns wasn't working... pah
