Is DLT8000 at end of life now? Based on the age of the technology and
that the capacity (native specs) doesn't necessarily provide the 50GB
requirement I'd suggest SDLT of the two.

The redhat squirrelmail rpm installs an apache conf.d file
(/etc/httpd/conf.d/squirrelmail.conf) which defines an alias for accessing
squirrelmail.
The answer to your question lies within this file. It&

r 100 domains run on about 30 IP addresses, and the reverse DNS
on all 30 addresses is the same: "rita.otherdomain.com". No one has yet cared.

Nope, those two files are gone, i assume replaced when i upgraded. I was
assuming lilo would update itself when i rebooted. I just dont want to
reboot until i can get the old kernel back, and get the smp vers
nuz-2.4.18-14smp and no
/boot/initrd-2.4.18-14smp.img then that entry (not necessarily all entries)
in the boot menu will fail to work.

I would assume that a telnet server which authenticates against W2K
isn't what you need. You would probably do better looking for PAM
support to authenticate against W2K/AD, etc.
Try googling for linux pam active directory support (assuming

Setting the values in /etc/sysctl.conf will preserve them for the next
reboot. Once entered into the file, running "sysctl -p" will load them.

p ports and they're all ones
that I can account for (telnet, ftp, printer and netbackup).
Check "chkconfig --list | grep on" and see if there's anything
unaccounted for down with xinetd stuff.

are the home directories on the server, they're just
mounted as read only.
I'll admit to being pretty darn puzzled -- well, OK darn angry...
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try removing the NIC from the other machine and install it
Try using the "soft" option on the client when you mount the filesystem.
mount -o soft host:/home/gerry /mnt/fns
Read "man mount" for other options.
