Hello,
I am trying to merge the branch
public/optional_spkg/differential_algebra-13268 into current version of
Sage but am running into issues. Pulling returned a merge conflict:
CONFLICT (modify/delete): src/module_list.py deleted in HEAD and modified
in 81aef63dc5e33948f1f37a995ac09189d0a99e
ate me the procedure to follow,
or someone more powerful than me could just change the line to
567:verbose("epsilon = %f"%epsilon, level=2)
and push on the repo?
Thank you very much for all your work,
Adam

I tried the spkg and everything built without problems. A 'make -
ptestlong' also passed.
This is using Ubuntu 12.04 (64 bit) on vmpl
r it supports a
somewhat different set of CPU instructions. Fortunately, the solution
posted here for virtual box, using march=native, works equally well
for vmplayer.

I also get [0] in 4.7.1. This is built from source on Ubuntu 11.04
running in a virtual machine (32 bit and 64 bit versions).

I noticed in run_notebook.py that when the notebook is run with
reset=True, there is a check against min_password_length from
sagenb.misc.misc to make sure the password is long enough. If it is
shorter than the minimum, sage prints "That password is way too short.

Would it be proper then to open a trac ticket with a patch against the

It may be by particular configuration, but spellcheck was not
executing in workbook cells with Firefox 3 on Linux. I recently made
the upgrade to Firefox 4 Beta and was extremely happy to see spell

Makes a lot of sense to me!

I am administrating a Sage server for an educational institution that
needs to used not self-signed certificates. I successfully generated
the request and a certificate was purchased; sage accepts the cert;
but, most web browsers see the cert as invalid without the
intermediate certificate chain.
changes would be in the sage -pkg mechanism. The spkg-
install would also have to have conditions to copy the correct patches
for a specific system or OS but that is already the case.
The question then is if it is a burden to carry around the patches for
different systems. However, i

A ticket should probably be opened for both axiom.py and fricas.py (or
one for each). The parsing of the output is very simplistic and buggy.
I would guess that some simple code was done to get the interface
started but has not been developed further.

Hi,
On a positive note. I was able to build Sage 4.3.4 and run long tests
(all passed) on:
1. x86 - Scientific Linux 5.1
2. AMD64 - Ubuntu 10.4 (beta 1)

problems. I have not tried it with fricas but I have used a global
install of axiom (compiled with gcl) without any errors. I only had to
make sure that it was in my path for it to work.

This is leftover from when fricas used to use the name axiom as a
synonym. This is no longer the case. If axiom is installed globally it
will be used. There is no spkg for it but there are opti

[x] Yes, I don't use DSage (don't even know what it is...), and
think it should be removed from Sage.
However, I admit that I have no idea of what it does. ;-)
