I have a Dell work station (about 3 years old) with external speakers and Ubuntu 6.06 installed. The sound through the speakers is very low. If I turn the volume up to FULL on the screen AND on the the speakers, I can hear a music CD at a level JUST load enough to be acceptable if there is there
