. Simply moving the mail to another archive mailbox fixed
the problem. Other than that it was rock solid.
Having said that this was being run on debian stable and IIRC I wasn't
using backports until later so the problem may have been fixed since then.

the bayes filter doesn't
kick in until 200 odd emails have been classified or something along
those lines.
The other thing is that AFAIK it's preferable to have even amounts of
spam and ham when using sa-learn.
I'm sure others have more helpful insights.

I am trying to work out how to configure my Linux box to boot up in console
mode rather than load up X Windows (KDE). Is this something to do with the

OK here's meminfo while I did that I had evolution open typing the mail
gtop running and two eterms one sshing to another box. Thats it aside
from the usual applets running in the panel (gaim, Xmms, d4X, odometer,
netleds and mixerapplet)

Our Telstra ADSL connection has been down all day :( and the boss is a bit

Wondering what a good backup solution would be?
I am in the process of setting up a Linux firewall and is it possible to
have a modem in a Linux Firewall that is dialed when the ADSL fails? Would
it be hard to
hardcore tech. Be it the lastest geeky gadget or must have or the lastest
trend in coding techniques or high level security to keep the kiddies away.
Maybe this is something that needs to be overcome, exactly how I'm not sure.

Can't comment much on it's mgetty compatability but I've had great success
with SwannSmart modems. Haven't tried the new SwannSmart II but the
previous model has served me well in a variety of roles, works fine with
Linux too on a variety of flavours.
