My system has begun pausing badly today and Nautilus is running 4 Gig
virtual and 1 gig real, this would seem to be part of the problem.
There is nothing really obvious on top.
Any suggestions?

My Toshiba has a separate volume control at the front of the laptop, a
thumbwheel. Check for that.
Double click on the volume control and ensure that the sound is not

Would it be better to install the drive in a USB case, build a new
computer mount eh USB drive and pull down the data off it. There are
sometimes conflicts with old hard drives with new ones, causing them to

tripping it up. I just upgraded and the install of metacity seems to
have solved my problem.
So if you have had mystery problems with feisty it is probably worth

I just wanted to mention vym (View your mind) which is a graphical mind
map application. It is really easy to use and you can quickly build a

I have citrix installed and it has grey scroll bars, It uses the motif
libraries. The problem I am getting is that I can scroll down but not
back up using the scroll bars. I have seen this problem with another
program as well, vnc I think.

index files cause I had that problems once rm volvo.*. It
rebuilds the indexes but still nothing new.
Any suggestions?
( I raised an Ubunutu bug report, it was closed.
I posted on Ubuntu forum not meaningful response except me too).

Often these queries are about connecting to and from other platforms
than Linux.
I am happy to educate Programmers on the subtle difference but seriously
a Linux user should not have care about the subtleties of licensing.
