Dave,
I hate to admit it but I was around during the time of the Mirage. The
single sided elevator and asymmetric vertical stabilizer planform really
bothered me at the time. A real airplane needs to be symmetrical. So, I
never was drawn to the design. The Blom and Voss designs from WWII really

there are 3 intruder drawings on that page. One of them (on the right

Well, memory serves but only partly. With input from a couple of guys who
also witnessed this event at SULA (thank you all for the corrections and the

Hi Dave,
I read this idea in another thread, but several pilots have used the
clear blister pack plastic from a dremel tool bit. Sorry they didnt say
which tool profile they used but a trip to the big orange depot or the
other Lowe(r) one might give you some ideas.

I have a new NiMH receiver pack and wanted to slow charge the pack for the

charging but I can't seem to figure out how to set it up. I can set the
charge current to a low value and set the safety timer to a large value

Hi, guys.
It just happens that I'm tempted to build a 1:9 A-6E Intruder as a PSS glider.
I'm planning to use the lost foam technique, so I am starting from the 3 view
of the relevant 'In Action' book. Unluckily this 3 view lacks almost totally of
the necessary sectional drawings of the fuse.

Dave,
You remember the event correctly but not the pilot. That was none other than my old buddy Bob Gerbin. You may remember Bob for the picture in Model Builder with the double size scale and Windfree he built with it. Bob learned the tough way about keying a pre molded surface before bonding. Th

In the argument over the choice between handicapping the plane and
handicapping the pilot, all I can say is that I come into the game already
