It all now appears to be working. I think the main issue was with me
not being accurate enough with the name of the HDD I was mounting.
Also, Samba wasn't installed so that didn't help either.

LMS was running but I couldn't get the web pages.

disk. This entry should have the black selection thingie. When you mount

I don't think the disk is the issue. It's a 4Tb Seagate in a USB caddy.
It seems to check out OK when plugged direct into the PC.

maybe I can offer an alternative approach to using the ip address in
explorer. I have always followed the instructions here to mount the
drive, configure samba, and create a windows network location (note the
how toos might be a bit outdated):

Diagnostics say maybe the name is misspelled.
I've plugged the USB drive directly into the PC & it's called Seagate
4Tb but Samba won't allow that name as it has a

I now have my PC back from being repaired (failed SSD boot disk).

Paul, if you feel that your realy need a faster (slightly) rpi thyen the
3b+ from kydstypike is the one.
LMS will run on your othe rpi, just a bit slower. I would still like the
model # please.
It's also possible to install LMS on an O2 joggler (external usb stick
is best for this).

My system is detailed below. It was configured by someone I've lost
touch with.
The RPis running Squeezelite have O2 Joggler front ends.
One of the RPis was the media server until it became too slow about 8
years ago. It was replaced by an early Odroid to give more power.

If your Squeezelite is being run as part of a piCorePlayer (pCP)
installation then adding LMS to it is straight-forward from the web
interface (make sure the "player/server" or "beta" tab is selected at
the bottom of the page ... and then go to the LMS tab).

I'm running 7.9xx on Odroid hardware but I'm having to reboot it much
too often so I'm overdue for an upgrade I imagine.
The issue is my Radio loses Wi-Fi signal but a Putty reboot sorts it out
straight away.
I don't have performance issues so would prefer to keep the Odroid
rather than upgrade
