If I am not mistaken, this email probably results from somebody on the
list having one of the many recent viruses. An email is being sent from
somebody's computer, with the From or Reply-to being tomcat-dev,
and the To being the Russian place. The russian site has an
auto-responder, and so it
are correct and they are really non-subscribers. I
HAVE noticed though a high occurrence of jakarta (tomcat _AND_ Ant)
email addresses in all of the virus emails that I receive, so it seems
lke they are coming from somebody on these lists.

It appears that the 4.1.30-LE-jdk14 versions were built later
tagging issue. My patch worked not
because of the code that I put into it, but since I was effectively
adding the connector part of Larry's fixes to 4.1.30 where they had been
missing before.

This fixes mod_jk segfaults when gcc is used to build mod_jk with gcc on
AIX. Currently, the -brtl ld flag is missing. Linking with apxs takes
care of that and, in general, can clear up other differences.

writer and response in coyote starting

So, I'm guessing that means Catalina 4.1.14 or so?

With this solution, all of the configuration information that is common between the
java Connector and the C-based Apache Mods can come from one file instead of two as in
the past. I think this is the design the committers want ultimately.

So I'm barking up the wrong tree? I thought somebody had told me that the Coyote JK 2
connector only worked with mod_jk2. I'll go play around with the Coyote / mod_jk
combo on NetWare, and see how it works.

Thanks Costin. I can look into the patch for the port number in server.xml not being
honored. I'm not too JMX savvy, so I probably won't be much help with the MBeans
extension mechanism. I see the need though, after going through changing it myself.

My work around for now is to parse the requestURL myself rather than using the
convenience functions, but I can't find a work around
to not being able to access the Session.
