at last look, only worked with Apache 2.0.43. Try the older version of

Yes I did and it ran just fine. There was no magic formula, it just
worked. Once https was set up correctly for apache, when Tomcat URI's
were accessed via https they just worked. I don't have access to my test
systems right now. I do remember that I had to modify the default ssl

You have told apache to answer www.yyy.com not yyy.com. When you ask for
yyy.com and you get xxx.com then the default virtual is answering not your
intended target. There are a few ways to solve this. Easiest would be to
make a cname for www.yyy.com of yyy.com and have DNS correct the

If you get all the major pieces installed correctly then the configs are
the same no matter what your platform is.
What you think your seeing vs what is really happening in a set up like
this is tough to see.
In the default section of the httpd.conf at the Listener line do you have
an IP address with a port 80 are do you just have a port 80. If the latter
is true then apache will gladly answer every request
The .so is there for mod_jk and freebsd is available. You might have
better results with it.

When you install the mod_jk2 module to the module directory of Apache
don't forget to rename the module to mod_jk2.dll or change the LoadModule
line in httpd.conf to match the name of the module to do copy there.
The developers started version naming the dll files to avoid confusion.

was copying from CVS sources I maintain before I tested. I've since tried
to install TC 4.1.14 with them and I got these

for SSL to work correctly in Apache you have to use IP based virtual

You could use mod_rewrite to rewrite all requests for page.jsp to
