Old is a relative term. I feel fairly young next to my mother, who is

depending on what you need it might also do the job for you.
Well we've confirmed it now. Sometimes the Touch powers on showing the
clock, sometimes showing the home screen. No pattern to it that we can
discern. That's with the latest SBS - update a couple of weeks ago if I
remember correctly.

I noticed the problem with the spectrum analyzer too. An advice `server
aborting` was displayed if I have chosen it. So I removed it from
displaying (7.5.X).
Now I´m using 7.6 and there is no problem.
Imo 7.6 works fine, no advice `server aborting` in snatches. (I´m using
it for a week now)

No offense taken.
In order to scan the music library without errors I have to delete all
.jpg and .png files. If not an error occurs and the TinySB server is
blocked.
Surely this is a bug in TinySB because all works fine when using the PC
SqueezeBox server.
Any recommendations?

TinySBS can handle jpg and png, it just can't handle BIG ones. It
doesn't have enough memory to decode large files. So make sure your
images are 600 x 600 pixels or less and you should be fine.

That's what I call a bug.
If the programmers know that it can't handle big files, it should skip
them. Software should be made smart.
Now the software is stupid, and the user has to find out?
Not acceptable!

Hi, I
The clock issue may be related to time. When the Touch powers up it
doesn't have a reliable time (it doesn't have a battery backed up RTC),
it needs to go out to a server to get the time. If it has not received
the time from a server it will not display the clock (better to not
display the clock

Local music service has been stopped due to a problem usually means
that the system ran out of memory. The most likely cause for out of
memory errors is during the artwork scan, when a very large image is

It will be resolved in 7.6. The artwork code had to be completely
rewritten. You should never use PNGs for artwork, always use
non-progressive JPEGs and you'll be fine. These don't have memory
problems no matter how large the file is.

Andy, Thanks for the reply.
I'm looking forward to the release of 7.6

Finally my beloved SB3 got company from a Touch, but there's one
thing...
When titles are scrolling in Now Playing, are they really supposed to
be so flickering? Looks like some badly configured scroll rates/pixels.
Are there any way to make this look better?
My Touch is running on firmware
Well, I assume you all have shares in Logitech because you were all so
convincing, I just ordered my SBT! Overhere (Netherlands) it costs
around $335. But I do assume it's worth every penny.
I'll keep you informed...

In the end, tag it the way YOU like, but be consistent in how you tag
all your classical music.

I have ripped 400+ out of my 800+ CD collection. All are ripped via

I've noticed today that 2 of my Various Artist CDs are not appearing on
