Installing LogitechMediaServer-7.7.1-33750.exe (downloaded from

Webinterface did not react on mouseclicks, second screen in new IE

One tip storage must be avaible to LMS while LMS is running .
So NAS must be on when LMS is running and connected otherwise LMS may
think that there is no music folder and dump the database require that
you enter the location again and rescan .

Best installation process is to: reset the output device, update the

Triode, what exactly do you mean by reset the output device?

Hi Triode,
I have tried this with a Musical Fidelity V-Dac 2. This is an asynch
dac however I do not know if it is USB 1 or 2.

I followed the instructions on page 1 of this thread last night and
both applets insalled OK.

If you don't update LMS on the computer you shouldn't get update

Go into the usb dac menu and set the output device back to default.

Looking at all the excitement over Triode's work with asynchronous USB

to the Touch via coax or toslink?
For instance, my Rega dac has a USB input. If the
Kernel #5 and plugin 0.7 play fine with the Eximus DP1. Occasionally I
get dropouts for a couple of seconds but only with 192kHz files, though
the touch is connected to my NAS via ethernet. All other material plays
flawless.

I was looking for a receiver a HK 3390 or the HK 3490. I wanted to hook
up:
recordplayer, tv(audio),cd player/dvdplayer, htpc and a touch.
I thought I had to go for the 3490 because of the buildin DAC and 2
digital inputs, but I just saw a topic here someone mentioned the touch
had a good DAC.

Switching back to 24/96 agan playing fine, also 24/88

Thanks Triode for quick response
I don't have a high speed usb hub, but will try tomorrow for sure

Correct, Touch has it's own well regarded DAC for analog output.
BUT, even an analog input into a digital AVR (like you are asking
about) will likely result in another DAC conversion in the AVR.
Digital file to Touch, Touch does DAC, analog out to AVR, AVR
reconverts analog back to digital,

Yes it should alter as it's a feedback mechanism - this is what

Correct, if using the Touch's analog out.
Nothing to do with it's DAC. Digital AVR's perform functions like
EQ/PEQ, crossovers, bass management (like in a sat-sub setup) via

The main advantage of the Asynch USB connection is the elimination of

Basically, rather than having to recover a clock signal from the signal
sent by the SBT to the DAC (Push), the asynch USB approach allows the

While I don't have a huge amount of 24 bit/88/96khz files, I have
