mysqueezebox.com works fine for me on my Touch. Switching between mysb
and the local server(s) is seamless.

I promised I'd report how I did. And here I am. I did fine!
I took one of the member's advice and set up to different networks:
1. Regular wireless network with access to Internet.
2. Dedicated wireless network for the Squeezebox Tou

my 2 cents: I've run a SqueezeboxServer on a Sheevaplug
for more than 1 year and never had any problems. The device
uses <5 Watts of power and can easily run 24/7.

My networks is such that if the router dies all wired stuff works anyway
, for wired things it's only used for internet access .
But I have a very good ISP and a very solid router .
It is often vital to not use the router suplied by the ISP, my current
ISP does not even try ( very good ).

ip.
As others said if one uses true static ip ( not dhcp reservation ) you
can build the entire lan with only switches. That is a local area
network ,you then add a router for internet acess and then add an acces

and SSID than your "main" router. The Touch plugs in with an ethernet
cable to the new router. The server also connects with a cable to the

Can you confirm that the files play okay using the Win 7 server? If
so, then you're correct in assuming it's a TinySBS problem.
Have you tried any other SD cards, usb sticks, etc.?

You say you can't reliably play the files either with the TinySBS or
with the network SBS.
I still suspect that the format of your files is interfering with
playback - I suggest that you recode your files into a less demanding
format (eg. mp3).
If the problems still occur, then we can move on

reliable and (b) gives you access to greater functionality and more
plug ins ...
