Make sure that you start the internal server on the Touch and that it scans the files (have patience it is slow) and then use the music menus like artist and album when it's finished . Note that the "music folder" option is blocked while it's still scanning try album , Also let the the new Touch

My Touch plays music quite nicely from a 16GB SDHC card. Mostly high bit-rate MP3, some FLAC, etc. Organization: Just the "normal" three level Artist/Album/Track structure starting in the root of the card. -- R Johnson R

Ok tried an old 1GB card i had around . it worked . it detected the card , Asked me if I wanted to start squeezeboxserver , yes ofcourse ,this starts the tiny version of the server on the Touch itself. did the spiny while scanning it (let it finish with that ) Went to "My Music" > switch lib

will the same files work on an USB stick ? No weird permission issues ? the stick is not in read only mode for some reason, Touch scans the media and write it's dB on the media in a folder it creates, so the media must be writable . -- Mnyb

I've got several SD cards with FLAC files in folders with album titles for names. Those folders are in a folder named "FLAC". My Touch doesn't sem to find the music in these folders to play. When I put a card in I get the what I think are the expected screens that stop with a screen with choices
