So... no RC? :(
Church Of Emacs?
There is no such church. Even if there is one, it cannot solve any kind of
health or mental problems through grace, which is something that the human
beings want.
I hear those features are planned for Emacs 25.
Check to see if your disk partitions are full.
Log in terminal: ctrl-alt-f1
And check your partitions: df -h
Make some room by deleting unnecessary files: rm -rf ~/.thumbnails
The browser cache also takes a lot of space.
Hope this helps.
Hallo,
I have recently switched to Evolution - with my switch from Mint to Trisquel.
Unortunately, with the Email Program that comes along - Evolution - I haven't
been able to send any emails using my yahoo.co.uk email account.
Can anyone tell me what the proper settings are?
thanks

Hm... I'm not sure. All I can find on Yahoo's website is about mobile access.
You're supposed to need one of their paid accounts to use an E-mail client
(on a desktop computer anyway), so maybe you need to be logged into one to
access the information? I don't know where it would be, but I
Thanks for trying to help. I just downloaded Thunderbird, which I had
succesfully used before, and checked wether it really is the same as in
evolution and no, it's not the same at all. With thunderbird it takes less
than one minute to set this up and it works perfectly. There is a lot less
Thanks for the link as well. I would be amazed if you managed to set this up
according to their manual with a UK Yahoo address using evolution. I've tried
that help section for hours, otherwise I wouldn't have come to the forum
Yeah, Thunderbird is pretty awesome. Evolution's setup is actually more
normal for E-mail clients, but Thunderbird does just about everything
automatically.
You do have to pay to use E-mail clients with Yahoo, at least officially.
You're not supposed to be able to do it with gratis
How come it works perfectly fine on Thunderbird then?
I've installed Cryptkeeper from the package manager and it does exactly what
I need.
It's probably using the settings mobile clients would use, or something.
Whatever it's doing, just hope Yahoo doesn't ban you for it. :)
I use yahoo with evolution. Only IMAP is paid, you can still use POP3 for
free which is what I do. It fetches the message to my computer and the big
advantage of evolution over thunderbird is its backup feature. I only have to
copy the gzipped and import it in evolution after.
Did you
Some (most) ISPs block port 25 so if you are having problems only with
sending out emails then make sure you change your SMTP settings to a port
that is not blocked (eg. SSL)

I know what you mean. Microsoft still has a crapload of cash and they are
still going to try to convince companies to support Microsoft no matter what.
Their Windows 8 OS is pretty much a failure on the desktop and on their

The Free Software Foundation has stated, Our goal is a world where all

Essentially, if all software was free, how would anyone be able to

It's not important and not needed. There are businesses getting money

Most software is custom written so little is likely to be lost. Companies

There would be absolutely no market for software, because it would all

I can imagine a lot of people would pay for software if it came with support

are a $1 billion business).
Then there's the risk

if there was no profit to be made from software development, it would

But that isn't likely. There will always be people who need new software

I have done everything that is suggested in the yahoo help section and
checked the ports etc.. I am not the only one to have this issue with
evolution unfortunately. I have a non paid yahoo account it officially gives
me the reason to opt in to using pop - so this cannot be the problem
Hm... here's a thought, if you decide you want to try using another E-mail
client: see what settings Thunderbird is using and use those settings on the
other E-mail client. I had a problem with all E-mail clients sending E-mails
from my Gmail account, but Thunderbird is able to do it without
Is the Ubuntu Fonts License a free software license? (If so, it's a strong
copyleft, so it's definitely GPL-incompatible.)
Looks like it to me.
I'm concerned that it restricts modifications with the clause the original
version must retain its name, unmodified.
Thus, it is acceptable for the license to require that you change the name
of the modified version, remove a logo, or identify your modifications as
yours.

I think one important thing to take into account is reputation. The beaches

Hi,
I recently came across this which I had tried a few years ago:
http://www.zegeniestudios.net/ldc/index.php?firsttime=true
I think it's a pretty good resource, but Trisquel is missing :)
I write a short note about this using this feedback form:
http://www.zegeniestudios.net/ldc/feedback.php
It hasn't been updated in over a year.
I took a look at this. Thing is, it's just got the most popular distros on
it, and I found that two different test results gave multiple 100%
recommendations, so it's pretty useless. But since it suggests distros that
are unethical, I wouldn't refer anyone to it even if it worked well.
I'd

Just like Firefox. It is smart to use this method so users don't get confused
about which software is which and what is the official release.
Lembas, that's not exactly what it's saying. It's not saying you have to
rename modified versions. It's saying that the *original version* can't be
renamed. The FSF's Free Software Definition is silent on that topic.
You can make money by developing a free software package but leave it pretty
bare bones and delegate support to user forums. Leave it to a talented coder
or webmaster to figure it out. Non technical users are stuck.
When that user needs help installing or using it, you offer support under an
