I am running Kubuntu 8.10 AMD64, KDE 4.1.4, and cannot install OOo 3.0.x any way, shape or fashion. I tried installing with Adept, apt-get and Synaptic, no go; unresolved dependencies. I tried to download and configure-make-makeinstall the files from Open Office Org; wrong architecture or unresolv

Is it possible to do a silent uninstall? Because Uninstalling and reinstalling the whole package is time consuming. I push this out in a silent install, but if I try to go from 3.0 to 3.1 it fails if it detects OO already installed. (3.0 - 3.1) Perhaps a way to run a silent uninstall? I read o
